Dreams Do Come True: Disneyland Paris

Yesterday my mom and I went to Disneyland Paris!!! I have wanted to go to for a long time! It was magical.

We took the RER which is kind of like the metro, but the train is bigger and it goes out to the outskirts of Paris. When we were waiting on the platform for our train, an older lady with boobs down to her hip bones and a V-neck shirt..with nothing else underneath... got off the train and walked past us mumbling to herself in French. She looked like she pulled a "Mrs. Doubtfire" and dipped her whole face into something bright white. It looked like chalk. It was just really funny and like watching a car wreck especially because her chest almost slipped out of the V-neck. We got onto the train after that and it was about a 45 minute ride straight to the station that was right in Disneyland! It was nice because we were right there! No long lines or ferry like at Disneyworld.

The main street looked about the same but there were tons more shops! I think we went into every single one, some even twice. I bought myself a pink pen and a magnet. I made sure everything I bought said Paris on it! It was so fun to look at all of the Paris and Disney stuff. There were lots of Europeans there, not many French. The castle was so cute! It was pink and Sleeping Beauty's. My favorite!!! The castle in Disneyworld seemed bigger though, but this one was just so cute. We got to go in it and walk round upstairs! That was probably the highlight of my day.

"Sleeping Beauty"

The night is sleeping!

I ate typical French lunch, salad with chicken and cheese and an apple tart for dessert. They even serve beer there! But I had a Coke Light. We went on to Thunder Mountain which was so fun! It looks like a little kid ride from the line but it definitely wasn't. It went on forever!! Probably 3 times as long as any amusement park ride I've been on.

We walked through almost the entire park. It was fun to just see everything. I love all things Disney so just being at the park made me happy! There was an Alice in Wonderland section it was too cute.

I was underwhelmed with the futuristic part. But we watched a show in that section and it was..interesting. It was a dance group from the UK and it was a mess. But there were three guys in the group of 14 year olds and one of them got really into it. So he was my favorite. His facial expressions and dramatic head toss stole the show. Like a young Ross Matthews with a British accent.

We walked around some more, ate dinner, and absorbed the magic!

When I got home I met Maddy and Nicole in their neighborhood and later some of Nicole's friends from school who are in London for the summer were in Paris this the weekend. We went to somewhere  that I think was called Cafe Iguana? And it was cool. It was funny, again, to see people who just got to France interact with locals. One of them said, "This waitress barely speaks English". And when she came over to us, it was actually really good compared to what I usually hear every day! It's just funny. I felt so lucky to have caught the metro at about 1:20! I still had to walk about 4 blocks home alone from the metro stop but it went fine! I was just happy that Nicole, Maddy and I caught the metro!

Ugh, I have photo class in the morning. Bonne nuit!
