Kisses!

I got kissed on the cheeks today for the first time. Once on each cheek.
Two different times today.

In France that's how they great their friends. We live by and elementary and middle school (I'm assuming by the age of the kids that I see) and on the way to the metro every morning we pass groups of kids just getting to school and they're greeting each other by kissing each other on the cheek.
In Paris, they give one kiss for each cheek and other parts of France it is a different amount of times. My teacher was drew a map of France and was explaining (of course only in French and through body language) that one part gives four kisses. Then he X'd it out and rolled his eyes as if to say that's too many times.

On the way home from class today, we were on a street corner where a giant protest broke out. People were chanting and sirens were going off. There were lots of people in the street with signs and as we were walking away, a group of police were walking towards it. Some roads were blocked off and made getting through the crowds a little difficult. I was a little scared. But we ran away and decided to stop at a piano bar and have a drinky drink instead.

Beautiful view the classroom today.
