So these last two days have just been normal days in Paris! I had my final exam this morning and I didn't do so good. For the fist section, we had to listen to a tape of people speaking and then answer questions on the test. Tres difficile.
Yesterday my lunch was delicious and thought it was cute so I had to take a picture.
Chicken panini with tomatoes and a chocolate eclair which was surprisingly filled with chocolate mousse!
Yesterday after class, I asked my professor a questions (thankfully he let me speak in English) and I ended up explaining to him the difference between warm and hot. It was fun to be the teacher and also to hear him (try to) speak English.
We were advised not to take our phones out, especially iPhones, while in the metro station because the pickpocketers look for them and will snatch them out of your hands and run off. Maybe even run off the metro a the last second as the doors shut and then it's gone forever. So I just snuck the picture real fast and put it back into my purse. Pickpocketers also look for and target foreigners which is why it is important to try and blend in. Now by no means do I think I have the perfect French disguise, but I just try to not be an obvious tourist. I'd say I'm in the middle. A few nights ago, I was on the metro, and I could hear and see a guy in the next car over, in some sports team pullover sweatshirt shouting a cheer/song that belonged at a sporting event. Now that is standing out.
I see the French women around me everyday and I am envious of their effortless beauty! I know I do not look the part 100%, but I do try to have an effortless look.. If that makes sense. And that will safe me from the majority of potential theft :)
